CLEAN SLATE MOBILE SHOWER UNIT
Clean Slate Mobile Shower Unit's mission is to provide hygiene services and products to homeless citizens located in the Kansas City metro areas. Services will provide shower facilities, laundry facilities and incidental personal use products on the mobile shower for clients. The mobile shower units will operate on a weekly rotated schedule at locations that are easily accessible to reach the client base.

In the Kansas City Metropolitan area, there are reportedly over 2,000 citizens who are homeless on any given day. Many of those citizens are considered chronically homeless which means they have experienced homelessness for over one year for various reasons.
Many homeless clients when polled have expressed they often find a need for accessibility to shower facilities when they are unable to secure sleeping facilities.

There are currently no registered mobile shower units that service the Kansas City Metro Area. Clean Slate Mobile Shower Unit’s strategy is to offer 3 mobile shower units that will operate within zones in the service area on a daily basis. The Shower Units will be operated by staff that is trained to serve the homeless community in the greater Kansas City Metro Area.

The amount of money needed to fully build out a functional customized trailer shower unit with 4-stalls. It will include an area for 2 laundry units as well as a place for clients to receive wrap around services/case management.
